No accounts, no uploads, no ads, no selling anything about you. We look at how the workshop is used, not at who you are.
Werks are created and stored in your browser. They are never uploaded to us. Your gallery lives on your device; a share link carries the recipe for a piece, and whoever you send it to can rebuild it locally.
We use PostHog analytics in cookieless mode to understand how the workshop is used: page views, feature interactions, and session replays with all text inputs masked. IP addresses are discarded. This tells us things like "many people press spin and few press evolve" — not who you are.
If you type your email into the stay-in-the-loop box, it goes to Beehiiv (our newsletter service) so we can send updates. That's the only personal information the site can collect, it's entirely voluntary, and every email includes an unsubscribe link that works.
The site is served by Netlify, which — like any web host — processes standard server logs to deliver pages. We don't combine those with anything.
DriftWerks is a general-audience art toy and collects no personal information from anyone, kids included. The only field on the site is the optional email box, which isn't intended for children.
If our practices change, this page changes first. Questions: knock at driftwerks.art. Governed by the laws of Washington State, USA.
